The Department of Informatics and Economic Cybernetics coordinates three bachelor programs that are part of the educational offer of the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics (CSIE)

The Economic Informatics Program has seen several changes over time. Initially, his name was Mechanization and Automation of Economic Calculus, with the specialization being accredited in 1965. Starting with the academic year 2014-2015, the Economic Informatics Economics program was successfully started with English teaching. In the academic year 2018-2019, the three bachelor programs offer over 1000 seats, with budget or fee-based funding.
The educational programs of the Department of Informatics and Cybernetics provide training in an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of economic, mathematical, cybernetics and computer science, focusing on the company’s economy. The goal is to help students understand socio-economic phenomena and build models of high-performance information systems. The educational package includes: three bachelor programs, several master and doctoral programs, and certification and post-graduate programs.
Depending on the specialization, the advanced doctoral program takes place within two doctoral schools
- Doctoral School of Economic Informatics
- Doctoral School of Cybernetics and Economic Statistics
from the Institute of Doctoral Studies of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, based on the regulations approved by the Senate of the University and lasting at least three years.
